Poem: Another Day, Another Night

Poem: Another Day, Another Night

[A Short Poem by The Flannel Teacup]

Here’s the start of the day
The sun’s rays are peeking through the shades
A coffee cup is being lifted to your lips
Your holding hollowed out stars in your hands

A brisk walk against the wind to get us to nightfall

Here’s the day coming to a close
The sun’s hiding behind the moon now
Constellations are twinkling a goodnight lullaby now
A wine glass is being filled up, that beautiful burgundy color

Every moment you’re a vision to see, let’s go settle down

Another day, another night
Repetitive but stable
Going to sleep just to wake up again
Stuck in a dream world during the in between

…Until tomorrow when it starts all over again

The story behind the photo: Taken during a full moon hike put on by the local parks, this photo was taken right at sunset over the lake. The moon was already visible on the other side of the mountains, back behind us.
