Galena Waterfall Trail Photos
The Galena Waterfall Trail is located in Northern Nevada and is probably one of my most favorite hikes. The footing a bit more technical in the beginning, the views are stunning (overlooking parts of Lake Tahoe), and the end waterfall is just the cherry on top.
For a while I didn’t know what my destination was going to be. I just heard that there was a waterfall along this trail but was unsure how far it would be. There’s some elevation gain here but you go from looking at Tahoe to being surrounded by trees in a matter of minutes while, to me, is magnificent. I heard the sound of running water and knew I was close. I saw the falls across the way and wasn’t sure how to get to them but just kept on walking on the trail, not knowing how much further. Boy was it worth it.
The area by the waterfall has a nice rock area to sit. Here I sat, ate a snack, and took photos. No one else was really around so it was really peaceful and I felt like I had the place to myself for the most part.
